“Imbizi” literally translated means “Zebra”. The word originates from one of the many local languages found in the northern province of Caprivi. It was chosen because we believe in equality, and as a joint venture organisation the image of the zebra with its complimentary black and white stripes, best represents its shareholders - Caroline Schaap a white Dutch female, and Elago Negumbo a black Namibian man. The image of the zebra is also widely used to symbolise gender equality, a philosophy we actively promote.
