Groups

Luggage

For everybody’s safety and comfort, we have a limit of one piece of luggage (soft bag, 15kg) per person. However this doesn’t include camera equipment. Sand and dust can be a problem for cameras so make sure you have adequate protection for your photographic equipment, and be mindful when you open your window.

Tips for before you leave

  • Make sure your vaccinations are up to date and you have consulted your doctor as to which malaria prophylaxis you should take.
  • Ensure you have the necessary travel insurance, cancellation insurance and medical insurance.

Tips for packing

General

  • Camera, film and chargers
  • Adapter
  • Personal toiletries
  • Binoculars
  • Sunglasses
  • Sun screen (UVA/UVB protection, at least SPF 20)
  • Torch
  • Insect repellent with DEET
  • Hat
  • Basic medical kit
  • Water bottle
  • Vaccinations and malaria tablets
  • Travel insurance, cancellation insurance and medical insurance

6 Day Trek Tour

  • The first 3 days you’ll be needing a sleeping bag, as it can cool of during the night. If you don’t have a sleeping bag one can be rented from Imbizi for just 10 Euro.

Clothing

  • Light cotton clothes for the day, ideally with long sleeves to protect you from the sun.
  • Long sleeved shirts and trousers for the evenings, as it does get cool.
  • Jumper or a sweater.
  • Comfortable hiking shoes and thick protective socks.
  • Swimming suit, hat and goggles.

Extra clothing in winter (May-August)

  • Warm jacket
